Grade 11 Student Streaming Criteria
Goal: Ensure fairness, clarity, and balance in class distribution using only Grade 10 external exam grades.
1. Step 1 – Define Indices
Science Strength Index (SSI)
SSI = 2 × Math + 2 × Science + English + Agriculture
Social Science Strength Index (SoSI)
SoSI = 2 × SocSci + 2 × Business + English + PD
2. Step 2 – Stream Decision
- Science Eligibility: Math ≥ UP, Science ≥ C, and SSI ≥ SoSI.
- Social Science Eligibility: Social Science OR Business ≥ UP and SoSI ≥ SSI.
3. Step 3 & 4 – Class Assignment
Science: Math D/C go to Adv Math (A, B, C1). Math UP/P go to Gen Math (C2).
Social Science: Business profiles lead to E classes; Social profiles lead to D/F classes.
4. Step 5 – Balancing Class Sizes
If any class exceeds 17 students, borderline cases are swapped between compatible classes to maintain balance.
